The Laser Solution for Spider Veins and Rosacea

Spider veins on the face and legs bother millions of people. Spider veins (or telangiectasias) are red, bluish or purple veins that can result from sun exposure, use of oral contraception, hormone therapy, the aging process, or heredity.

How do I know if I'm a candidate?

This is something that must be determined with each client individually, but the majority of patients will benefit from this treatment.

Spider veins are not to be confused with deeper, larger veins or varicose veins.

How does the Apogee Elite work?

With a beam of light, the laser can deliver a prescribed does of energy to the spider veins. The laser "selectively" coagulates the problem veins while sparing surrounding areas. After treatment, the vessel slowly and naturally disappears.

How long does a session take?

This non-invasive treatment process takes between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your situation. After treatment, there is no down time - which means you can resume all of your normal activities immediately afterward. Results are seen within three to four weeks. Typically, one to two treatments are recommended.

Rosacea treatments are the same in that the many small veins are coagulated, but the application is a light "painting" technique. This requires more time - approximatly 30 min. and may require up to 3 visits.

How does the treatment feel?

There is some minor discomfort associated with this laser treatment. Most clients describe the sensation as a series of rubber band snaps to the skin. We can often reduce or eliminate this by cooling the treated area with our air-cooling device.
